The Beauty in Imperfection

Anyone can write about flowers and sunrise,

But the beauty in flaws is what truly mesmerizes,

The magic that comes with disasters, the tragedy in lonely lips,

These are the things that truly make my pen zip.

I want to write about the cracks in the pavement,

The imperfections that make life so enchanting,

The way lightning illuminates the sky,

And the feeling of loneliness that makes us high.

It's the scars that we carry, that make us unique,

The mistakes we've made, that make us complete,

It's the acceptance of our flaws, that makes us strong,

And it's our imperfections, that make us belong.

The magic of disasters comes with the aftermath,

The way we rise up, from the rubble's path,

The way we brush off the dust, and start anew,

With a newfound strength, and a clearer view.

And oh, the tragic lips that speak of love and sorrow,

They're the ones that truly make my pen borrow,

The aching heartstrings, the tears that flow,

These are the things my heart and soul know.

For it's the beauty in imperfection that makes life worthwhile,

The way our flaws and disasters make us smile,

It's the poetry in the pain, the heartbreak in love,

That reminds us of the beauty, and all it's thereof.

So let us embrace our imperfections, and show them to the world,

Let our words speak of the beauty, that's within their unfurled,

For anyone can write about flowers and sunrise,

But it takes a true artist, to write about life's real prize.
