Shades of Almost

In shadows deep, where once was light,

A fading ember, lost in endless night.

I've walked the path of dreams now past,

Lost my way, hopes couldn't last.

Was a time I believed in skies so clear,

But now those colors have disappeared.

Faded like echoes, whispers in the breeze,

Left with heartache, shattered pieces.

And all the stars that once aligned,

Now distant, cold, no longer mine.

Promises like petals, fallen from a rose,

In this somber garden where hope decomposes.

A melody of sorrow, a song of despair,

Gone the warmth, replaced by icy air.

Footprints on a road that's now unknown,

I'm wandering, searching, feeling so alone.

The echoes of "forever" now just a ghost,

Love's vibrant canvas, now shades of almost.

In the style of "Yellow," but faded and gray,

Lost in the silence of a love's decay.
