Love Letter to the Depths

I promise I will love you more than Atlantis loved the ocean,

With every single breath I take, with every loving motion,

But my dear, I need a promise too, one that I won't forget,

That you will always keep me safe, that I won't drown in regret.

For as much as I adore the ocean, its wild waves and salty spray,

There's a fear inside that lingers, that won't ever go away,

Of the depths that lie beneath the surface, of the currents and the tides,

A fear that I'll get lost in it all, and the ocean will swallow my life.

But I know I won't be lost, if you're right here by my side,

Your love will be my anchor, my guide through the rising tide,

And if you're with me always, I promise I won't drown,

Together we can weather any storm, and never be cast to the ground.

So my love, I'll love you more than Atlantis loved the ocean,

With a fierce and endless passion, that will last until the end of time,

But all I need is for you to love me back, with a love so deep and true,

That I'll never have to fear the waves, and the ocean will never be blue.

For with you by my side, the ocean will be a place of wonder and of grace,

Of beauty and adventure, and a love that time cannot erase,

So keep me safe from the depths, my love, and never let me drown,

And we'll explore the ocean's mysteries, together, forever bound.
